Writer's Block: The Internet

[Error: unknown template qotd]Hah, the Internet's birthday is two days before mine! But really, this reminds me of the cracked article I read a while ago here.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm addicted to the internet. I love posting on forums, writing fanfiction, and I even met my best friend and support pillar through fandom. But really? I think the internet is THE WORST thing to ever happen to the world since the atomic bomb. It encourages people to abandon their social lives. Now that I've learned to balance my social life and internet time, I'm much happier.

For serious guys? Going out with friends>>>>>>>>internet.

Thank you! That is such an interesting (and horribly true) article, I had just been realizing the same thing. More real life, less online life.

I think the internet is THE WORST thing to ever happen to the world since the atomic bomb.

I'm not sure if I would've put it that way, but now that I think about it... you may actually be right. That's kinda depressing, cause it's also one of the more liberating forces.
So thank you again, lots more to think about now.

Ah, that expression was more a spur of the moment thing. I didn't actually mean to sound so dramatic.

But really, it's like a prescription drug. If you use it as directed and in moderation, then it helps you, but if you abuse it and take it too much it'll hurt you.

That article never fails to break my heart, only because of how true it is.

That article was incredibly depressing. And something that I'd started realizing on my own. As much as I complain about people, I like spending my day with real people, even if I am socially awkward. Computer land is lonely. And loneliness is sad. ):
